SMARTIFLIX – IPTV Subscription for Canadian Homes - Live TV, Hockey and 4K

SMARTIFLIX Channels: 25,000+ Live Channels, Canadian Networks First

CBC, CTV, Radio-Canada, TSN and Sportsnet come first, followed by the American, British and international groups that fill your player once the playlist has loaded. The line-up draws on 60+ countries. Search it below.

Most people in Canada start by looking for the channels they already know: the national networks, the local news, and wherever tonight's game is on. That is why this page opens with Canada rather than the United States. English-language Canadian networks come first, the French-language networks follow in a group of their own, and after that come the American channels that have long been part of Canadian cable packages, then Britain, Ireland and everywhere else.

This is a summary, not the complete line-up. Your player shows many more entries once the playlist has loaded, arranged under similar headings, so typing a name into search is always faster than scrolling. Try it here first with a name like Sportsnet, RDS or CP24.

How the groups are arranged

Inside every group the channels are sorted from A to Z, so nothing is ranked above anything else. The group names are our own descriptions rather than official package names. Some entries cover a whole family of channels on one line: "TSN 1–5" is the five TSN channels, and "Sportsnet East/West/Ontario/Pacific" is Sportsnet's set of regional feeds. If a game is not on the feed you expected, look at the other regional feeds before assuming it is missing.

Some names appear more than once. HBO, Showtime and Starz are listed under both American networks and American movie channels, HBO Canada is a separate entry again, and Al Jazeera and Al Jazeera English sit in different groups. This is on purpose, so a search that returns two results is not an error.

Taming a long list in a two-language home

A line-up this size is easier to live with after ten minutes of tidying on the first evening. Players such as TiViMate let you hide whole groups you will never open and pin favourites to the top. In a house where one person watches Radio-Canada and TVA and another watches CTV and Global, it helps to build a favourites group for each and hide the international packages nobody uses. In homes with one serious hockey fan, a third group holding NHL Network, the TSN channels and the Sportsnet feeds is usually worth making.

Hiding a group does not remove it. The channels are still on your account and come back as soon as you unhide them, so a group you hid in September can return in time for a tournament you care about later in the year.

Films and series, separate from the live grid

Next to the live channels, the account includes an on-demand library of 120,000+ films and series, which the app sorts by genre and year. New titles are added regularly. It does not try to copy any one streaming platform, and we would not describe it that way, but for many households it covers the weeknight films and box sets that would otherwise mean paying for another monthly subscription.

Check your own channels on your own TV

The free 24-hour trial opens every group on this page, Canadian networks included, plus the on-demand library.

Questions about the SMARTIFLIX line-up

Are CBC, CTV, Global and Citytv on the list?

Yes. All four sit in the first group, together with CTV 2, the TSN and Sportsnet channels, and the Canadian news services: CBC News Network, CTV News Channel and CP24. The Canadian premium channels, Crave, HBO Canada and Super Channel, are in the same group.

Does it work for a French-speaking household?

The French-language Canadian networks have a group of their own, so Radio-Canada, TVA, Noovo, RDS and TFO are one tap away instead of being mixed in with the English channels. French broadcasters from France, such as TF1, France 2 and M6, are in the mainland European packages. The player apps themselves come from third-party developers, and their menus follow whatever language each app supports.

Should I choose a service by its channel count?

Treat the number with some caution, ours included. Totals grow quickly once regional versions and alternate-quality copies of the same channel are counted separately. A better test is to write down the ten or fifteen channels your household really watches, from the hockey broadcast to the evening news, and check each one during a free trial.

Do the 4K channels cost more?

No. The 4K feeds are part of every plan, whatever the length. They are mostly live sport, pay-per-view events and a handful of film channels, and each one keeps a standard HD version next to it for evenings when your connection is struggling.

A channel I watch is not listed. What can I do?

Send the channel name on WhatsApp. When it exists on the feeds we receive but is missing from your categories, it can usually be switched on fast. When we simply do not have it, you get a straight no, so you can decide without waiting.

Will the list look the same on my Firestick and my phone?

The channels will, because they are tied to your account, not to the device. The way they are laid out depends on the player: TiViMate shows a cable-style grid that copes well with long lists, while simpler apps show a plain scrolling menu of groups.
