A SMARTIFLIX reseller is usually someone people already ask about TV: the relative who sets up everyone's streaming stick, the person in a building or a community group whose recommendations get followed, or a small shop that already sells and repairs electronics. You do not need a server room or a technical background. You need a WhatsApp number, some patience with first-time setups, and a habit of keeping good records.
This page is written for resellers whose customers are in Canada. It covers what credits cost in US dollars, how a customer moves through your panel over a year, what to plan for when some customers would rather be served in French, and how to handle their personal details with care.
What credits cost, in US dollars
Credits are bought in packs, and the per-credit cost falls as the pack gets bigger, from $8.00 on the smallest pack to $5.00 on the largest. To make that concrete: a one-month, one-device account uses one credit, and the same month bought directly on our public pricing page is $12.99. Where your own price sits within that gap is your decision. Longer and multi-screen accounts use more credits, so work out your pricing for those separately before you quote a customer.
A customer's year inside your panel
The panel is where you manage each customer from the first conversation to the renewal, or to the day they leave. In practice the year usually goes like this.
- The trial. Generate a free 24-hour account and ask the customer to test it on the channels they actually watch, at a time they actually watch them.
- The first paid account. Create the account, spending one credit per device per month, and send the login with the matching setup guide for their device. Every account is a standard Xtream login, so any common player works.
- The new device. Customers change sticks and televisions. Having the guide for their new device ready saves you a long back-and-forth on WhatsApp.
- The renewal. Extend or renew the account from the panel before it expires. A short reminder a week ahead is courteous and keeps customers from finding a blank screen.
- The goodbye. When someone stops paying, disable the account and remove what you no longer need to keep about them, as described below.
Serving customers in English and in French
If you sell in Québec, or to francophone communities in New Brunswick, Ontario, Manitoba or elsewhere, some customers will expect to be served in French, from the first message to the renewal reminder. Decide before you launch who answers in which language, and be honest about it: a reseller who says "English only, for now" earns more trust than one who replies slowly through a translation tool.
Three things help. Write your price list, trial message and renewal reminder in both languages once and save them. Point French-speaking customers to the French-language Canadian group on the channel list, where Radio-Canada, TVA, Noovo, RDS and TFO are listed together. And remember that the setup guides on this site are in English, so a French-speaking customer may need you to walk them through the menu names in their language.
Customer details: collect little, protect what you keep
Every customer you sign up trusts you with some personal information. In Canada, PIPEDA, the federal privacy law for private-sector businesses, sets out principles such as collecting only what you need, being clear about why you need it, keeping it secure and letting people see what you hold about them. Some provinces have their own privacy laws as well. This is not legal advice; check which rules apply to your business. As a working habit, though, the following keeps you on the careful side.
- Keep only what the account needs: a name or nickname, a WhatsApp number, the username, the plan and the renewal date.
- Keep payment information out of chats. Do not ask customers to send card numbers or banking details in a message, and do not store them in a notebook or spreadsheet.
- Tidy up regularly. Remove contact details from trials that did not convert and from customers who left, once you no longer need them.
- Never share or sell your customer list, and protect your panel login with a strong password that only you know.
What stays on our side
Servers, channel sourcing, the program guide, app compatibility and upstream problems are ours to deal with. You get the panel to create, renew, extend and disable accounts, a trial generator, wholesale credit pricing from $5 per device-month on the Enterprise pack, and a separate reseller support line on WhatsApp. Customers see your name and your WhatsApp number, not ours.
Getting your panel
- Message us on WhatsApp with the word "reseller" and the pack that fits your plans. The Starter pack, at $80 for 10 credits, is enough to test the model with a handful of customers.
- Pay for the pack. Your panel login is sent in the same WhatsApp chat on the same day.
- Create a trial for yourself first, set it up on your own TV, then start offering trials to customers.
Reseller questions, answered for Canada
Are the reseller packs priced in US dollars?
Yes. Every pack price and per-credit rate on this page is in US dollars, the same currency as the public plans, so you can compare wholesale and retail side by side. If you pay with a Canadian card, your bank converts the charge, and some banks add a foreign-transaction fee. What you charge your own customers, and in which currency, is up to you.
What exactly is a credit?
One credit is one device for one month. A customer with two screens for three months uses six credits. Unused credits stay in your panel until you spend them; they do not run out on a timer. Larger packs lower the cost of each credit.
Will my customers see the SMARTIFLIX name?
No. The service is white label: customers deal with your business name and your WhatsApp number. The logins are standard Xtream credentials that work in the usual player apps, so nothing on the customer's screen needs to mention us.
Can my customers try it before paying?
Yes. The panel creates free 24-hour trial accounts within a fair-use limit. A trial timed for a weeknight hockey game or a busy Saturday evening tells a customer far more than any description you could send.
Do I need technical skills or my own servers?
No. The servers, the channel feeds, the program guide data and updates are handled on our side. Your part is selling, answering your customers, and sending them the right setup guide from this site when they get a new device.
Who helps me when something goes wrong in the panel?
Resellers have their own WhatsApp support line, kept separate from customer support so a panel issue is not queued behind setup questions. We look after the panel, activations and anything upstream. Your customers remain your customers.
