SMARTIFLIX – IPTV Subscription for Canadian Homes - Live TV, Hockey and 4K

IPTV Smarters Pro for Every Screen in a Canadian Household

In a house where the living room has a Samsung, the basement has a Fire TV Stick, one parent carries an iPhone and the kids share an Android tablet, IPTV Smarters Pro is the one player that shows up on nearly all of them. It is free, the menus look much the same everywhere, and the same three account details work on every copy. That consistency is why many Canadian households pick it. This guide begins with a readiness check, installs the right version for each kind of device, then covers sign-in, organizing Canadian channels, guide time by province and player settings for busy evenings.

Gather these first

  • A supported device: Android TV, Fire TV, Android phone or tablet, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, some Samsung and LG TVs, Windows or Mac
  • Your SMARTIFLIX username, password and server URL
  • A few minutes at each screen you want to set up

The setup, one screen at a time

  1. Do a readiness check per screen

Walk through the house and note what each screen runs, because the install route depends on it. Then, at each one, take a quick speed reading from that spot: a basement TV and a kitchen tablet on the same Wi-Fi can behave very differently. Keep your activation message on your phone, and decide on a profile name for each screen, such as Basement or Kitchen iPad, so that it is obvious later which copy is which.

    Order a SMARTIFLIX login

  2. Install the version made for that device

Android TV, Google TV and Android phones use the Google Play Store; if a listing does not appear, the developer’s website provides the Android file. A Fire TV Stick needs the Downloader method described in the Firestick guide. Apple devices use the App Store, where the app is called IPTV Smarters Player. Samsung and LG sets list it in their own stores where available, and Windows and Mac versions come from the developer’s website. Avoid copies from unofficial download sites.

  3. Choose the Xtream Codes login

Open the app and accept the terms. On the login choice screen, pick Login with Xtream Codes API. There is also an M3U option, but the Xtream route brings in the guide and on-demand library automatically, while an M3U playlist often arrives without them.

  4. Enter your SMARTIFLIX details

Type the profile name you chose, then the username and password, which are case sensitive, and the server URL beginning with http:// and ending with the port number. Select Add User. On a TV, using a phone as a keyboard, through the Google TV or Fire TV phone app, avoids most typing mistakes.

  5. Let the first sync complete

The app now downloads live channels, on-demand titles and guide data. With 25,000+ channels, the guide can take several minutes to fill in fully on a first run, especially on older TVs. Once it finishes, open Settings and find the EPG options, so the guide can show on screen while a channel plays.

  6. Organize Canadian channels

In Live TV, the categories run down the side. Open the Canadian groups, and long-press a channel to add it to Favourites. Because favourites belong to each profile, you can add the same login several times with different profile names, such as one for the French-speaking grandparent and one for the hockey fan, and give each their own shortlist.

  7. Set guide time and audio

Smarters reads the guide against the device clock, so check the device time zone first, whether it is Pacific in Victoria or Atlantic in Charlottetown. If the grid is still shifted by a fixed amount, use the EPG time shift option in Smarters settings; the wording varies slightly between versions. For language, open the player controls during playback and select the audio track; both French and English appear there when the broadcast carries both.

  8. Copy the setup to the next screen

Once the first screen works, the rest go quickly. Use the same three details, give each screen its own profile name, and repeat the favourites for that room, perhaps French news and weather on the kitchen tablet, and sport in the basement. Check the time zone on each device as you go, particularly on anything bought across the border. Keep a note of which screens have Smarters installed, so that if your password is ever changed, you know exactly where to update it.

  9. Tune for a cold night on a busy network

Go to Settings, Player settings, and use the built-in player with hardware decoding on TVs and streaming sticks. If one channel stutters while others play fine, change the decoder for that channel from the player menu rather than changing the setting for everything. On evenings when every screen in the house is busy, choose FHD over 4K on the smaller sets, and keep the device playing the big game on a wired connection if you can.

If a step does not work

Your account is expired

This is the subscription reaching its end date, not a problem with the app. Renew with our team and the same login starts working again; nothing needs reinstalling.

The channel list is empty after signing in

Refresh the list, or sign out and in again. If it stays empty, check the server URL, and especially the port number, which is the most frequent cause.

The guide runs on the wrong province’s time

The device clock is set to another zone, often because it was set up elsewhere or bought across the border. Fix the device time zone, restart Smarters, and use EPG time shift only for any gap that remains.

The app keeps closing on a Fire TV Stick

Clear the app’s cache under Settings, Applications, Manage installed applications, then open it again. If it still closes, uninstall it and install a current version; an old file on newer Fire OS is a common cause.

IPTV Smarters Pro: setup questions

Is IPTV Smarters Pro free?

The app itself is free. It contains no channels of its own and shows nothing until you add a subscription through the Xtream login. SMARTIFLIX supplies that subscription; the app is just the player.

What is an IPTV Smarters Pro subscription?

People searching for that usually want a service that works inside the app. There is no subscription sold by the app for channels; you use an Xtream Codes account from a provider, entered once per device.

Smarters Pro or TiViMate, which suits a Canadian household?

Smarters wins where the house mixes Apple, Samsung, LG and Android devices, because it runs on all of them. TiViMate has a stronger guide but exists only for Android, and its recording and multi-view features are a paid upgrade. Plenty of homes use TiViMate on the main TV and Smarters everywhere else.

How many devices can I install Smarters on?

As many as you like. Your SMARTIFLIX plan limits how many streams play at the same time, not how many devices have the app. A household can have Smarters on every screen and use whichever is free.

Why does Smarters look different on my Samsung and my iPhone?

Each platform gets its own version, built around that device’s screen and remote. The menu names are close but not identical, and some versions add or remove features. The Xtream login and your channel list are the same on all of them.

Does Smarters keep my favourites if I reinstall it?

Favourites are stored in the app on that device, so removing the app usually removes them. If you reinstall, sign in again and rebuild the Canadian shortlist; it takes a few minutes if you start from the categories.
